Opera Frontier humbly improvises on one of the most spectacular and challenging solo scenes in the opera repertoire, É strano/Sempre libera from La Traviata. By turning this scene into a conversation between two Violettas engaged in mundane night-shift tasks, we found new ways to identify with sentiments we can all relate to: wonder, longing, anger, cynicism and, finally, friendship as the way forward.
