Bollywood Lakmé

Delibe’s opera Lakmé is set in colonial India. Its famous Flower Duet is arguably one of the most appealing pieces of music in the opera repertoire. Opera Frontier’s version is performed by a double duet, permitting four singer-dancers to move in a classical Indian style accompanied by traditional instruments.
